At Twinkles we have started to look at the impact we have on the environment and look at what we can do to help provide a better future for our children. The first change we have made is to move to a new company for the removal of our nappy waste. The waste will now be collected and taken to an energy recovery site where it will be burnt to release energy. The energy passes into a steam path and is used to power a turbine to create electricity. But it doesn’t stop there, the bottom ash is recycled into the construction industry where it is used for road building and other construction products!
