The Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards is a truly unique event that combines honoring and recognising courageous young people in Yorkshire with raising funds for St. James’s Place Foundation. Originally launched in 2011, the annual awards dinner is a highlight of the Yorkshire social calendar as well as a significant annual fundraiser and flagship event for the Foundation. There are emotional scenes as the region’s bravest and most courageous children and young adults are recognised. From those born with challenging, life-limiting conditions, but excelling in the face of their difficulties, to the young fundraisers who have been inspired to make a difference, to those going out of their way to be a tower of strength for family members in need of support – all the winners will be celebrated and have exceptional stories to tell. After attending the ceremony last year, Twinkles managing director Jill Johnson, decided to get more involved after attending the ceremony last year. “”it is an honour to be a main sponsor of Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards for 2016. After attending for the first time last year it was imperative as a local nursery provider working with over 1000 families to support the work done by the charity. We have supported Martin House for a number of years and hold numerous charity events throughout the year.

The children from Twinkles Wetherby recently joined the YCOC Nomination Road Show when it visited the town on market day! We had lots of fun walking into town with all our balloons and were delighted to find that there was a big present for us to open from one of the other sponsors – Dom & Geri!!
